Caring for the corridor together
The Red Road is more than a route. It connects neighborhoods, gathering places, farms, cultural sites, coastlines, forests, and the relationships that make community life possible.
Corridor planning creates a shared place to listen, learn, identify priorities, and connect stewardship with community wellbeing. The work belongs alongside emergency readiness, local knowledge, cultural practice, food resilience, and long-term care for ʻāina.
Place & relationships
Bring residents, kūpuna, cultural practitioners, land stewards, gathering places, and community partners into conversation.
Food & practical knowledge
Support learning around cooking with local foods, growing food, medicine walks, and skills that strengthen everyday resilience.
Community participation
Create clear ways for neighbors to contribute knowledge, identify priorities, suggest activities, and take part as planning moves forward.
