About the Network
The Red Road Resilience Network (RRRN) is a community-led nonprofit connecting people, places, skills, and resources throughout Puna Makai—because we grow resilience through community connection.
Through gatherings, shared meals, arts and cultural events, workshops, preparedness efforts, and community planning, we create opportunities to build relationships, share knowledge, and strengthen our ability to support one another—every day and in times of need.
Resilience Lives in Relationships.
Puna Makai is made up of many neighborhoods and the places that bring people together—farms, schools, studios, markets, gathering spaces, community organizations, and resilience hubs.
RRRN helps weave these people and places into a stronger network where neighbors can connect, share knowledge and resources, and support one another through everyday life and whatever comes.

An artist’s celebration of the people who make this place home.
Heat Resilience & Cooling Solutions
Sunday, October 18, 1–3:30 p.m. at Star of the Sea Painted Church, 12-4815 Pāhoa Kalapana Road. A free community workshop on heat safety and cooling solutions.
Red Road Art Tour 2026: Call for Artists
Artists from Puna are invited to apply for the November 21 tour. Applications are due September 15, 2026.
