September 25, 2026 update
Red Road Resilience Network and SPACE’s Joint Emergency Command Group is on standby as we monitor Nolo and assess whether activation is needed.
From Kalapana to Pohoiki, our community has been showing up. Our preparedness network now includes:
- 7 joint emergency command leadership members
- More than 10 chainsaw crew members
- 5 medical support team members
- 12 neighborhood dispatch leads
- 43 neighborhood volunteers supporting wellness checks and situation reporting
- 2 Vibrant Hawaiʻi resilience hub teams: Red Road Resilience Network and SPACE Resilience Hub
Two potential relief facilities—Uncle Robert’s, with RRRN support, and SPACE Hub—are ready to activate if needed for water, ice, and food distributions after the storm.
The map below shows our neighborhood dispatch coverage from Kalapana Gardens to Pohoiki. Names and phone numbers have been removed for privacy. It shows neighborhood coverage, not current road or storm conditions.
Our emergency planning dreams are becoming a reality. We haven’t had this level of coordination before, and it reflects the time, care, and commitment our neighbors have brought to this work.
This storm season has been a rallying call. We’ve listened, and you—our community—have answered. Every volunteer, neighborhood lead, crew member, and hub team is helping turn shared plans into neighbors helping neighbors.
